The goal of the project was to lead a detailed assessment of psychological well-being of the employees and a risk assessment of work related stress as a result of a major organizational change (acquisition). The investigation was carried out through a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Structured interviews and field observation were used for the study of the context and content of the work. The combined use of tools for the detection of the causes and of the potential effects of stress has allowed us to increase the specificity and the diagnostic power of the single tools for the detection of criticality.
The survey has been periodically repeated to monitor the evolution of working conditions from an initial, highly critical, situation (after a renovation), to one characterized by good health and absence of stress risk.
